Sylvester Kalenga is the owner of this private school. He had a vision for 15 years: to help children from poor backgrounds have a better future. He built the school with donations. He works tirelessly to ensure that the children have a better future. Unlike ours, a private school is for children whose parents are unable to pay school fees.
Edwin Meppelink, born in the Netherlands and living in Germany. I traveled to Kenya last year for a project and spent two weeks helping renovate the sanitary facilities. Sylvester and I immediately became good friends. The children's joy and their incredible gratitude inspired me to continue supporting the school. Together with Sylvester, we look for what needs to be done, draw up a cost estimate, and then seek donations to make it happen.
